Contributing to GPTCorn

First off, thank you for considering contributing to GPTCorn! It's people like you that make GPTCorn such a great tool.

Getting Started

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you have a GitHub account.
  • Submit an issue if you find a bug or need a feature.
  • Respectfully discuss your ideas with the project maintainers.

Making Changes

  1. Fork the Repository

    • Fork the repository on GitHub.
  2. Clone Your Fork

    • Clone your fork to your local machine.
      git clone [email protected]:your-username/gptcorn.git
      
  3. Create a New Branch

    • Create a branch for your changes.
      git checkout -b your-branch-name
      
  4. Make Your Changes

    • Make the necessary changes to the files.
    • Follow the coding conventions and guidelines as best as possible.
  5. Commit Your Changes

    • Commit your changes with a clear commit message.
      git commit -m "A brief description of the change"
      
  6. Push to Your Fork

    • Push your changes to your fork on GitHub.
      git push origin your-branch-name
      
  7. Submit a Pull Request

    • Go to your repository on GitHub and click 'Pull Request'.
    • Fill out the form and submit your request for review.

Reporting Issues

When reporting issues:

  • Use a clear and descriptive title.
  • Describe the issue in detail, and how it can be reproduced.
  • Provide any relevant information like version numbers, environment, etc.
