Unable to Add New Shortcut #47
Comments
The following works on Windows 11 Pro, 22H2, build 22621.1555

Thanks for the quick reply! I didn't know about the second option for creating a new shortcut (#2 in your message) and it worked. Prior to your message, I opened the Linkbar "as an Administrator" and that let me add new icons as well. Do you need to reopen Linkbar on each Windows restart? There seems to be no way to add it to the Start Up menu. Any ideas? |
From what I remember, there is a setting to install Linkbar for all users and start with Windows, but I am not sure if I remember this well. When you use UAC it is always good to consider All Users when installing an application if asked, unless you indeed only want to install for Admins. Edit: did you try the following procedure: |
Thanks for the help! |
I am unable to add any new Shortcuts to Linkbar. It was working fine with the first 6 shortcuts I added.
Suddenly, when I right-click the Linkbar -- and select the New -> Shortcut option -- nothing happens. I am able to add a Separator, add a new Linkbar and edit/delete current shortcuts.
Very frustrating to have such a useful program suddenly become useless. Please help if you have ideas!
