Summary

Since the old forum will go offline at some point, we should consider to rescue any worthwhile content that might still be in there.

Analysis

  • While a lot of info on the forum is quite old and may be outdated, there may be topics where it's still the exclusive (persistent) source of documentation in the forum of support thread postings.
  • As a first step, we could gather links to the topics that contain valuable info that is not otherwise documented.
  • In a second step, we can then aggregate them into page request issues, with a backwards link here to keep an overview.
  • Writing those pages will not be a simple copy-paste operation, but could be a great opportunity to extend the current docs on topics that have been asked in the past.

I did a dump of the forum to html files, one per topic, organized by forum area; it's in our shared folder on GDrive.
The file name has the date of first post, and title of the topic.. should be easier to sift through

Awesome, thanks! I actually tried to do just that, but failed to find a proper tool for it.

Re-packaged as a .zip and uploaded here to avoid locking out potential contributors and people reading along that are not part of the core team:

Since the forum is longer longer active and will be taken down in the long run (see here: AdamsLair/duality-docs#60), it should no longer be advertised on the readme page.
