We could add a function st.take_snapshot to store some seconds of data e.g. for paper plots of specific events. Could be exported as a new run or something that could later be easily loaded. This could be done at various levels of data.

For example, how to snapshot the raw-records for our recent WIMP discovery at 70 GeV / c2? If we could ship a time range around this, we could share it with the outside world.

Would be nice! It sounds like you could base this off super runs?
