Apparently mastodon has this option of filtering posts by people you follow based on their language.
For instance, if you follow someone who posts in two different languages, and you don't speak one of them, you can easily remove the posts written in said language from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.
On their profile page, you have to select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select only the languages that you speak.
Similar behavior could be a nice addition, even though it might not be a master priority^^
