Another moderator tool might be a single-click tool that emails the post (or just a link to it) to the maintainer of the package referenced in the post.
Similar to stackoverflow's "i know someone who could answer this" (which perhaps should also be implemented), but would do the maintainer lookup for you, based either on post tags, or on an autocompleting dropdown of package names.
Alternatively, maybe we should just automate the whole thing: if a post is tagged with X and X is a package name, and the maintainer of that package is not already subscribed to that tag (or does not have an account on the support site), then email the post to them.
