Improve usability by increasing size of controls even at expense of their count or "decorative" space

Detailed Description

I would want to be able to increase size of each element, but at least the icons used for my entities so I can easily click them. When they are bigger, we can borrow space from other items that are not displayed.
At this time display space is kind of "fixed" where each type of control occupy it's space. If I do not use it, it is lost anyway. Lets make it more dynamic and let this unused space to be used by other items that we increase in size.

Also, if configured, lets remove "decorative" space around the display which is maybe nice but is wasting space that could be used for bigger icons.

What do you think? Other ways to get more space for specific icons?
