Why BitMaps i.e (.bmp) Images not other image formats like ( .jpg, .jpeg)?

We need to understand The difference between .bmp images and other image formats and why we are using them.

Advantages of bitmap files include the following:

• Bitmap files may be easily created from existing pixel data stored in an array in memory.
• Retrieving pixel data stored in a bitmap file may often be accomplished by using a set of coordinates that allows the data to be conceptualized as a grid.
• Pixel values may be modified individually or as large groups by altering a palette if present.

BMP and JPEG are two of the oldest image file types, dating back to the early 1990s. BMP files contain large, raw, high-quality images, which makes them better for editing. JPEG files automatically compress, so they’re generally smaller and of lower quality

BMP files will operate most effectively with Microsoft Windows and OS/2 operating systems. BMP files have many built-in advantages	JPEGs are everywhere and highly versatile, no matter what operating system you’re on.

Microsoft provides us an internal Structure to store Meta-data of BMP files, which have many built-in advantages. So we don't need to worry much about it but for other Image formats (jpeg, jpg)There is no such support.
