It would be nice to have a simple group key in the JSON file to specify categories on the widget under which the results would be listed.

Thanks @la55u for the suggestion! Let us know if you have any concrete examples you could share for the categories use case, that would be great to help with understanding how the UX would work from the web visitor's perspective too.
