The docker info shows the following:

WARNING: devicemapper: usage of loopback devices is strongly discouraged for production use.
         Use `--storage-opt dm.thinpooldev` to specify a custom block storage device.

And the docker docs recommends the use of the overlay2 storage driver.

we should check what we can do about this.
