I have found out that this is a notification blocked issue.
Going to Settings > Apps > three dots > permission manager > notifications > three dots > show system apps > filter from "all" to "notifications turned off" > then finding Koler and tapping the slider to turn on notifications doesn't work.
Additionally, if you go to settings under App Notifications, tap the three dots stacked on top of each other and click "show system apps" Koler should show up, even though it's not an app that came pre-installed. The problem is that when you tap the slider to enable notifications it doesnt actually do anything, and they are still blocked at a system level.
Hoping there is a fix to this so I can replace the default dialer on my Samsung, until then I guess just don't exit the call screen for any reason while on a call.

Option: fullscreen calls
If you discard the koler window when you are on call, you cannot access it again preventing you to end a call on your side.
