Support for Ubuntu 24

Any thoughts on switching Os.LINUX_UBUNTU to point to 24.04? Or maybe even better have the possibility to choose Ubuntu version?

I never figured out a good way to allow version selection. With Amazon Linux we were kind of forced to make it a whole other OS. Maybe Ubuntu will just have to be the same for consistency.

Either way for now you should be able to override the base image. If you can share your current image builder code, I can show you where. But generally speaking it's baseDockerImage passed to imageBuilder().

Yeah supporting multiple versions of Ubuntu seems none trivial looking at the code :-) We can use an ubuntu 24.04 based image as custom base image, no problem.
