Conflict When Installing flash-attn 2.7.3 and 3.0.0b1 Together

I previously opened a discussion, but I’m still facing an issue when trying to install both flash-attn versions 2.7.3 and 3.0.0b1 in the same virtual environment.

The issue seems to be related to the unified package name flash-attn, which causes conflicts.

Building a wheel avoids .egg issues, but I’d appreciate guidance on the recommended approach to manage both versions in the same environment.

What error do you experience?

I think you can run pip install -e . inside both directories and it will work?
