[BUG] Zenodo badge is broken on Readme

Describe the problem

The Zenodo badge just shows a "not found icon".
The latest change 0e7e17a introduced a new way of linking to the Zenodo badge which is not working anymore(?). The old links seem to work though.
My proposal is to simply revert the commit 0e7e17a but maybe @daniel-jettka can give some details about the change?

Hm, this worked before, maybe the Zenodo API changed...

The commit 0e7e17a changed the link target from https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7472503 (v1.0.0-beta.5) to https://zenodo.org/badge/latestdoi/5966814 (Zenodo redirect to latest version DOI).

The advantage would have been that the badge needs no update for newer releases. I will investigate a bit.
