Troubleshooting
Problem: Mercury don't want to run and creates many of crash report files.
Fix: Switch-off RivaTune app
Problem: Mercury Trade disapears after alt-tabbing
Fix: Use alternative launcher with .exe(run .exe as admin).
Problem: I need to hard reset the application.
Fix: Go to %userprofile%/appdata/local and delete MercuryTrade folder.
Problem: My Notification panel is too small!
Fix: First off you can widen it just by dragging its right edge. You can also scale it bigger by clicking on a related taskbar button - Scalability.
Problem: My buttons (invite/trade/kick) don't work.
Fix: Don't run PoE as admin. If that didn't help use alternative launcher (run it as admin!). Keep in mind Steam by default runs PoE as admin, so you'll most likely need the alternative launcher to compensate.
Problem: Notifications don't pop-up when receiving a trade messages.
Fix: Please make sure you've selected the correct Path of Exile folder.
If in doubt, open Task Manager (ctrl + shift + esc) and check the path here!
Should look like this
C:\Program files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile
or
*E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile*
NOT LIKE THIS:
C:\Users\Roland\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile
Problem: My Mercury used to work/launch but now it doesn't.
Fix: Delete history.json in %userprofile%/AppData/Local/MercuryTrade. If that didn't help, erase the entire folder and try again. Doing so will hard reset the app.
Problem: Path of Exile constantly loses focus / Windows taskbar springs on top of the game while Mercury is running.
Fix: Disable Windows wallpaper slideshow.
