relative volume control

Hello, I have recently started using the hotkey binding options in the dev branch and I came across this. If I set my spotify volume at 50% and I try to increase the volume through the created bindings, the overall volume output will never reach the max volume. I assume this is because the "volume control" is relative to the application output.
As such, has anyone managed to send commands to an API of the app, directly controlling the "real" volume?
