MacOS 15.2 won't open FreeTube regardless

Has MacOS 15.2 refused to open any unsigned apps? After trying to launch FreeTube, typically, I have to goto System Preferences... > Security & Privacy. But now, FreeTube doesn't even show up in the Security settings, so I can't approve it as safe software.
There were no issues with MacOS 15.1, as I've been running FreeTube eversince just fine. But when I updated to 0.23.1 from 0.23.0, I can't get FreeTube to launch. Then, I tried downgrading, but the issue persists. So, I'm assuming Apple changed something. Any Mac users experiencing this issue?

The only answer so far seems to be running this command into the Terminal:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/FreeTube.app

I just have to throw in my 2 cents here, normally I wouldn't take the time in a situation like this, I just wouldn't use the app.

I saw this nice long article from Popular Science titled How to delete the Youtube Algorithm. They tell you how, but then a few paragraphs down they strt talking a very rosy picture of using Freetube to avoid any of the google nonsense. They very highly recommended the app. They even said a whole lot about how to use it. Very good article. So I go to use it, and get this malware warning everyone is complaining about. The solution is a terminal command? I'm the average guy and don't know how to turn that terminal command into an app or an Applescript that I can just click to open it and bypass the Apple nonsense.

I'm also a huge NON-fan of google. I have never had a google account, purposely block all their cookies, and tell everyone I know how evil Google is and not to use their browser or their mail. I had great expectations that Freetube would further allow me to distance myself from the evil Google Empire.
Yes, Apple is guilty of it too, but nothing like google (or Microsoft for that matter).
So you have this wonderful app, refuse to pay Apple to sign it on principle (I undertand principles, which is exactly why I was so excited to see your app that will bypass all of google's bullshit with Youtube videos), and basically this makes it unavailable to the masses of Mac users who see that message and just click Move to Trash. It is unfortunate that there isn't a way to receive donations for this project that you cn put some of the funds toward signing the app so the huge Mac community who wants to use it on an up-to-date Mac doesn't run into this. Seems to me that by far Apple is the lesser of two evils here.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything here, I think it's fantastic you have done the hard work to write the app. It's also unfortunate there isn't a big warning on the download page with a link to detailed instructions how to get past Apple's nonsense scan as easily as possible. 99% of Mac users aren't gonna come looking for the why like I did.

It's not about principle here, it's about the fact that the ransom is yearly and requires you to tie the app to someone's full legal name, which will be visible to everyone. It's not worth doxxing ourselves, just because some people are two lazy to run one command that you can copy paste, it is even mentioned in the FAQ. There is also the fact that it would tie the app to one single person, so if they were to leave the project it would cause big problems (and afaik you can't transfer an app to another account, so the remaining contributors would have to rename the app).

You are essentially asking us to majorly inconvenience ourselves, just because you don't want to run one command.
