  • This issue contains only one feature request.

Problem Description

So lets say I'm on my clean slate profile called "Blank".

I am at my "currently watching" playlist and send it to my default profile by copy paste the (youtube link, see note in second post*) url at the currently loaded playlist and doing a regular search inside freetube. It's the first and only hit. Click on it and you have access to the playlist with three items.

The playlist in this example has 3 (random) items.

I play the first item. While it's playing I added 30 more items to the list, using any device that is logged into the youtube account with the public playlist.

When the third item finishes playing it stops. Because... The page never refreshed with the other 27 items.

Since my playlist is public, anyone can view it. Including my-self inside freetube.

Proposed Solution

Refresh current page [AUTOMATICALLY] after each video playlist item finishes playing.

or

Refresh missing data. Data like any added items to the playlist.

Alternatives Considered

Alternatively, you could allow a hotkey, or a custom hot key to refresh the page on demand. Instead of having to do one of two things...

Close and re-launch.

Press the back button at the top left, and afterwards, press the forward button to go back to the page you were originally on.

If there is a more simple alternative, I really would love to hear it. I can't possibly think of any better solution than to simply refresh the page silently in the background so the new items on the public playlist are able to finish queuing.

Additional Information

Did you know you could keep a custom public rolling playlist on the big tv with freetube and add items on your smart phone using reVanced or rex? I didn't!

YouTube can't ban this. Additionally... If you do get the stupid toast message claiming you did, just close freetube and re-open it. It literally goes away next time you open freetube and will play any video. It's a bs threat. No ip is banned in that scenario. I think it's based on cookies and cached data.

To get the correct url which only need to be done once an added step is needed.

Here is the full list of steps.

1.Go to the channel or general search inside free-tube app (I forget which, but I think it's general)

2.Search for your account. If Free-tube is your YouTube account, search that.

3.Add the channel you use to watch in your favorites.

4.Click on your channel to see more options.

5.Go to the Playlists in the middle column as depicted in the .png

6.Select the playlist you want to use.

7.Share that playlist as a url copy as a youtube url

8.It's a hot link url, so right click and copy the url.

if you use that url to search inside of Free Tube the playlist in question will pop-up.

This url will be static until the playlist is deleted.
