Extracting data from the TBGSubtraction (Gater & Subtractor) for plotting

Hello,

I am wondering if anybody knows how to extract the data (x,y values) from the Gater and Subtractor using grsisort? I would like to get the values that appear on the right window after gating a specific peak (see attached). I need the data for plotting purposes.

You can write the results of the current gate to a root-file (button on the bottom right). This will write out all the 1D histograms. If you want to write multiple gates you might have to change the file-name between each, I'm not sure if this was written such that it only updates the file or if it overwrites it every time. But that is something you can try out.

Great, thank you! Now I have the 1D root histogram. Is there a root class or function I can use for the 1D histogram to output the x and y values to the terminal screen? Or do I need to write script to extract it?

The Root2Ascii program should do the job.
