White box on DMD flashes by in poker mode when spinner is hit

I see a similarly sized white box pop by once in a while if my laptop is running slow and I fire up a game. I'm talking monitor, MPF, MC, 50 browser tabs, some google docs... you gotta work to slow it down enough

Seems fine now with a better USB cable. Haven't seen a COMM crash either.

dammit. still there. It appears to wipe down the screen, still only over the left 80%, and only as the spinner is spinning and it's playing new cards. Does not seem to matter if spinner is hit hard or soft.

Here's a running commentary of things I tried:

1. commented out the event handler that picks a new card. No white box.
2. commented out animations for card 1 flash widget. Still had white box

Talk to Aaron about flow control. The issue most likely happens there

Alternatively try to reduce the frame rate even more
