This is how Pandas infers dtypes from a Series: https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/reference/api/pandas.api.types.infer_dtype.html#pandas-api-types-infer-dtype

What about PyTorch?
Is it possible to supply a torch.Tensor to the aforementioned method?
