I like your principles Heydon. I was reminded of these government design principles from the UK government:

They have aged pretty well. One of them I really like and definitely feel applies to accessibility is "Make things open: it makes things better"

You are a great example of someone who has made accessibility better by sharing so much. Not everything, but you've had a much bigger impact on the field because of sharing stuff like this list.

I tried to do something somewhat similar years ago:

More starting from the bottom than the top, but with a similar goal.
