I will be working on this part apart from documentation and code cleaning of colortuner tool. I am new with it and searching for resources online to learn and do this. Meanwhile, could you suggest, how to go ahead with building the tool with ROS build farm?

Hello! there is already a PR going on regarding this issue. Here ros/rosdistro#22480 (review)

as you can see there are some changes pending. You could start solving them and see if they accept the PR. :)
