Hi @setshabaTaukobong, I think you must have installed a different version of KMC.

KMC is a k-mer counter developed by @marekkokot, we (I say we, but what I really mean is @tbenavi1) have forked the repository and used back-end of KMC to write a small program called smudge_pairs that searches for all the k-mer pairs. Our form is here: https://github.com/tbenavi1/KMC, if you install (compile) that version, you should see smudge_pairs.

I am closing this issue, because today I am releasing a new version that retires smudge_pairs software.
