When in Freezer, select (1) to change to UNIT9, go to a subdirectory and then select NEW D81 DD IMAGE . No popup to enter name will show, and it will result in a flickering background screen.
No image is being created and I can only leave by hitting the reset button.

Configuration: batch 2

In attached image, the green background is in reality flickering (like unpacking a file).

This stems from the not fully implemented subdirectory handling in HYPPO and FREEZER.
In the case you describe MAKEDISK.M65 can't be started from the SD Cards root, as you change directory into a subdir.

So this is currently expected.
