App UI changes system language at random #1250

Lately I've found that Kvaesitso changes interface language unprompted. Sometimes system languages even get mixed up in the same UI element or menu.

For context, I have had three system languages set on my phone — English (UK), Danish and Swedish, prioritised in that order. I use all of those languages on a daily basis but prefer English as the default UI language.

I have noticed recently that the search bar default text often switches to Swedish ("Sök" instead of "Search"), and the filter button texts may be in English, Swedish or Danish independently of that. Below, "Online results" remains in English while all other button texts are in Danish:

Just now I noticed that the three-dot flyout menu is primarily in Swedish but the last item says "Hjælp" ("help") in Danish:

Although I do understand all three languages, I'm a stickler for consistency. I've tried setting English as app default language in Android settings; no go. If the Kvaesitso UI language isn't English and I go to app language setting, it seems to reset, though. But I shouldn't need to do that a couple times a day.

I'm fairly sure this first occurred after I updated my phone to Android 15 (LineageOS 22.1), but I can't pin it on that with full certainty.

Now I've tried disabling Danish and Swedish as system languages and hope that solves my immediate problem, but it might be worth looking into for the developer if the default language settings are inconsistently defined?

The Danish and escpecially the Swedish translations are pretty incomplete, so that would explain the mixture in languages, however, if your primary language is English, that's still very odd.

I thought at first it my be changing with my selected keyboard language, but those shouldn't influence UI languages, right?
