Select from an treeview MM (tng) doesn't sort or look like an treeview

I have an MM with the new treeview but in the filter the sorting doesnt work like it is in the Backend. It sould look like:

- Item1
-- Item 1 a
-- Item 1 b
- Item 2
-- Item 2 a
-- Item 2 b
- etc.

Ja, das wird anscheinend auch erst mal noch so bleiben, da die Filter die Infos gar nicht bekommen. Das wird man sich bisher selber im Template bauen müssen mit so einigen abfragen etc. :(

What do you have configured, what do you expect, what do you get instead?

I get just a flat list, with all items in the same level. I expect a List with subitems as in an normal Navigation.

Eh, but an option list is limited to two levels of which the first is the optgroup...?
How is this supposed to work/look like?

It would be nice if this would be 'simulated' like in the select for an quick-navigation.

Contao does not support this with any widget - that would also have to be created for this.
