Shining Force III (USA) // Blue line on the main screen logo #313
Comments
I'm playing the SF3 translation project and the blue line appears on all 3 scenarios. If I'm not mistaken the 1st scenario translation was done on the US version of the game but the remaining 2 are japanese, so it's safe to say is not a region specific issue. Here are pictures from scenarios 2 and 3. |
1.mp4The line appears a second later. But it looks like the line is black on the original hardware. |
I don't know how to classify the issue right now. To be decided later. |
ASFAIK the issue doesn't affect gameplay, so it can wait a little longer... |
I added a horizontal crop option for 2px, this should cover all cases with errors on the edges of the screen. I tested about 100 games. Games like Shining Force III and Nights into Dreams look great without errors on the left side. |
A user on Discord (cavenoire) informed us about a blue line present on the most left side of the screen on the main game screen logo (with PRESS START BUTTON instruction).
I cannot determine if that blue line is present or not on the real hardware with my LCD and OLED screens at home.
So, I'm reporting it here for second testing and possible evaluation to srg320.
