Switchtec-user v0.8.5 release for Linux platform
In this release
This is the release of switchtec-user v0.8.5 utility, which includes the following features.
- List all switchtec devices
- A simple ncurses GUI that shows salient information for the switch
- Show status for each port on all partitions
- Measure bandwidth and latency for each port
- Display and wait on event occurrences
- Setup and show event counters for various types of events
- Dump firmware logs
- Send a hard reset command to the switch
- Update and readback firmware
- Toggle the active and inactive firmware partition
- Display firmware image version and CRC info
- Show switchtec die temperature
- Test if switchtec interface is working
- Global Address Space Access
Known issues
F/W download issue

Description
If a F/W download is in progress, another execution of switchtec-user utility would result in unexpected behaviors. -
Workaround
Please do not execute another instance of switchtec-user utility when a F/W download is in progress.

Known issues
F/W download issue

Description
If a F/W download is in progress, another execution of switchtec-user utility would result in BSOD problem. -
Workaround
Please do not execute another instance of switchtec-user utility when a F/W download is in progress.
Firmware reset issue

Description
When Windows OS is running, reset F/W may cause unexpected behaviors which include but not limited to MRPC execution failure or timeout. Please do not reset F/W when it’s in use. -
Workaround
Usually, a reload of driver can recover software from some abnormal situations. To do this, disables management vEP in Device manager first, then enables it.
