It would be highly beneficial to have a dedicated download section on the MonoGame website where users can easily access the latest versions of MonoGame setup executables and other essential resources. This would streamline the installation process and ensure that users have quick and reliable access to the necessary files.

Feature Request:

  1. Download Section:

    • Create a new section on the MonoGame website titled "Downloads".
    • Include links to the latest versions of MonoGame setup executables (setup.exe) for different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  2. Additional Resources:

    • Provide download links for supplementary resources such as templates, sample projects, documentation, and any other essential files.
    • Ensure that the download links are regularly updated to reflect the latest stable releases.
  3. User Experience:

    • Organize the download section in a user-friendly manner, categorizing files based on the operating system and resource type.
    • Include brief descriptions and version information for each downloadable file to help users easily identify the correct files.

Benefits:

  • Simplifies the installation process for new users and developers.
  • Ensures that users have access to the most up-to-date versions of MonoGame and related resources.
  • Enhances the overall user experience by providing a centralized location for all necessary downloads.

Thank you for considering this feature request. Implementing a dedicated download section would greatly enhance the usability and accessibility of the MonoGame framework.
