Hi Guys

In my Games or Demos list i often find i need to make a correction to a title..... easy, Select Game -> Properties and fix the error.

Sometimes that error is in the path, but this CANNOT be editted within iGame. Can this be changed so the path can also be editted?
Cause right now i need to close igame... open text editor, search through a large file, make edit, save it, reopen igame, find said game to make sure my edit was correct. And hope i remembered to close igame, cause if i don't, the edit will be lost :(
Slow and cumbersome.

Thanks guys...

Thank you for this message.
Since the paths are discovered through the scanning process, how come these are wrong?

Hey Man, thanks for the reply.
I never use the scan feature. Let me explain this better.

When i first discovered and used igame v1.6, i used the scan feature and got a bloody mess of game titles, all the ALT, games that didn't say if it was AGA or standard, typos etc. I had to manually fix them up. I use Genres to list software creators (Bitmap Brothers, Acclaim, Electronic Arts etc), there's now over 450, so to add a game using the scan feature and then having to select the correct game company, correct the typos is a painfully slow process.
But igame supports exe as well, so it doesn't pick them up at all (or if it does, it calls the game "0")...

I don't even bother and i simply edit the .cvs and copy/paste another game, then adjust the title, genre and path.. save, and done... its VERY fast.

Reason for my request:
When i do need to edit something, it might be because the file i had on my HDD was in the wrong location and i moved it.
Or to fix up a directory that didn't have a clean title, it happens from time to time.

But to actually make my point, right now this is happening live.... i moved my gamelist.csv that had 681 games in it... so i had a blank igame .... set the repo dir (Work:Games/A - with 48 folders), and clicked scan.... i've written this entire reply and it still hasn't completed, so i don't think the scan appears to be working.

So if its a big deal to change, i can live with it as i have for years, and its me ... i know, i use igame a bit differently but simply found to edit that line would save time, but it can stay as it is if you like.....

P.S. Right at the end of this reply, it finished scanning, it found 3115 files, almost all are workbench 31_4.slaves etc from the WHDLoad generic from retroplay, so if i added 3-4 new games one evening, the scan is pretty messed up, and it scanned outside of the folder i told it to .. eg i told it to scan Work:games/a but it actually scanned Work:games ... i checked the repo.prefs and it only has Work:games/a/ so it really doesn't behave, i wonder if others are like me and only edit and add games by hand.

I don't blame igame, it is gorgeous, helpful and displays my collection beautifully, i just do it manually.

Thanks.

Sort of related.
If you add a game manually but forget to click on the slave file. If you then click on properties, iGamw crash hard with a software failure.

I thought adding the path was enough and that it would scan the folder I selected.
