Prizes

  • One (1) Grand Prize of 2,000,000 SC (about $5,200 as of this writing)
  • Three (3) Runners Up of 500,000 SC (about $1,300 each as of this writing)
  • All participants who don't win the above prizes but have a project worth consideration will receive 25,000 SC

Description

SkyDB is the latest ground breaking innovation in the Skynet ecosystem. SkyDB gives developers a Key Value, globally accessible data storage solution. This enables two incredible new features to Skynet: the ability to store account info, and Skylinks that can be updated with new content. Accounts are what take Skynet to the next level. This is the final building block required by Skynet to allow developers to build feature complete applications that compete with the likes of Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Your hackathon project should utilize these new features. Introduce a new app to the Skynet ecosystem that will blow us away.

Submission Requirements

  • The project must be open source
  • The app must live on Skynet at a Skynet URL
  • The app should do something that is useful and interesting
  • Most importantly, it should use SkyDB as a core feature
  • The app should be submitted to the Skynet App Store. (Click Register)
  • Demo videos are strongly recommended for complete submissions (upload your videos to Skynet!)

Submission Deadline

November 23, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST
All prizes will be disbursed in Siacoins, and we will contact all eligible prize winners via email after judging ends to get your SC address.
