Prizes

  • Two (2) Grand Prizes of 1,000,000 SC (about $2,600 as of this writing)
  • All participants who don't win the above prizes but have a project worth consideration will receive 25,000 SC

Description

SkyDB is the latest ground breaking innovation in the Skynet ecosystem. SkyDB is the final building block required by Skynet apps to allow developers to build feature complete applications that compete with the likes of Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat...

...but not all developers are great designers. Your task for this bounty is to help with the design of a new or existing Skynet app. Make it beautiful! Use your skills for UI and UX to help make these decentralized apps look as groundbreaking as they truly are.

Submission Requirements

  • You must design the front-end of a new or existing Skynet app, OR;
  • You must design the front-end library that new Skapps (Skynet apps) can use. Bonus points if you can contact devs from this hackathon and get them to use your library.

Additionally, all designs should follow these criteria:

  • The app must live on Skynet at a Skynet URL
  • The app you are improving should be an open-source project if possible
  • Most importantly, it should look fantastic, and have a meaningful user experience to go along with an intuitive user interface

Submission Deadline

November 23, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST
All prizes will be disbursed in Siacoins, and we will contact all eligible prize winners via email after judging ends to get your SC address.

Example apps and ideas

You can collaborate with devs for the current hackathon (look under Projects and Participants) or find existing apps on the Skynet App Store.

Resources

You can use these to learn more about Skynet, but obviously these projects are going to focus on your design skills. You should refer to our Skynet Brand Guidelines when designing your submission.
