Ability to change sensor expiry alert time

Since dexcom one plus has extra 12 hours of "grace period" it shifts new sensor start time by 12 hours. Would be great if I could set xdrip to remind 36 hours before sensor expires.
Maybe it is possible make it so one could set custom value for how many hours before notification is shown with 24 hours being default.

You can set xDrip to show when sensor expires on the main screen. That is explained here: https://navid200.github.io/xDrip/docs/Sensor-Expiry.html

The sensor expiry alert is relatively new. There has already been a request to customize it and there has actually been a submission to do so: #3675

I personally am in favor of offering a little bit of customization as long as it is reasonable.

Can you tell me the significance of the 36-hour period in this context?

With xdrip I can't really utilize grace period.
I have to set an reminder for the day sensor needs replacement so I could have the whole day to find right time to change sensor.
For xdrip, alert is always 24 hours before actual expiry of sensor and if I forget it's actually 10.5 days not 10 days, it shifts the time when new sensor should be applied.
36 (or any custom value) would help me to utilize grace time better.

Also, sensor expiry time on my device on main screen is in 12 hour format whereas all other time related things are displayed in 24 hour format.

I insert a new sensor always in the morning. I get a reminder the night before.

I will fix the sensor expiry format by adding an option. We have an open issue for that: #3616

I have no idea when I will get to it. There is so much to do.
Right now, I am working on adding the option of having a unique sound file and override silent mode for the missed reading alert. This is something that I have wanted to do with 4 years! We don't have developers who help us.
Developers come along and open a submission but are not willing to compromise even just a bit. They just want to make changes for themselves. So, that leaves maintaining xDrip to the few of us who have dedicated our time to this project to serve the community instead of ourselves only. So, I cannot make any promises as to when I can get that one done.

I try using reminders in xdrip next time I change sensor and hope this get implemented some day.
