After recently diving back into GTD with smos after some time away (two young kids and starting my own business means that I really need a more robust system and reached back to smos, which I had used successfully in the past) I have quite a few process-oriented questions for which filing issues isn't entirely appropriate. I thought that enabling Github's built-in discussions feature for this repository might be a useful way for the community to be able to answer questions that aren't code-related. It could also potentially serve as a sort of community documentation (again, more process-oriented than the official documentation, more akin to the blog posts)... though, this latter use-case might be better suited to the Wiki.
An example of a process-oriented question:
How do you handle not having smos on your phone? I often want to see things tagged errand while I'm out driving; or calls when I have some time to kill with only my phone; or (tag:read and property:timewindow:time:lt:10m) while in a waiting room.
Right now, I run these queries before heading out and send the output to my phone, but that's only for times that are more predictable. I've thought of using custom reports and enabling SSH access to my home PC so I can run them easily from my phone via a terminal emulator but that feels a bit overkill. I've also thought of building a simple Web UI to query the Smos API and run some custom reports, but I just don't have the time right now. The web-based editor just doesn't work all that well on mobile browsers.
I'd really like to hear how others handle this. Perhaps I'm overthinking it and someone has a more elegant solution.
If you think the above question should be an issue then please let me know and I can break it out into its own issue.
