Would it be possible to bump libcurl to >=7.71.0 and enable CURLSSLOPT_NATIVE_CA? It would be much more convenient (for me) to rely on the built-in CA store rather than having to ship a .pem that needs to be kept up to date (see recent IdentTrust DST Root CA X3 expiry). Obviously, if you're using a self-signed cert, you can still use your own cacert.pem for validation.
