Describe the Bug

The viewer exhibits inconsistent behavior when processing patient name tag provided in a string format. It expects the tag to be formatted as PatientName.Alphabetic.

dcmjs-org/dicomweb-server#38 this seems to be a known issue for other users of dcmjs

Steps to Reproduce

NIL

The current behavior

It expects the tag to be formatted as PatientName.Alphabetic.

The expected behavior

The viewer should consistently support both string-based patient name tags and structured formats like PatientName.Alphabetic
