The research cycle covers all steps from an initial ideal to the final publication. Each of the steps should be made open.

I have not found a convincing visual representation so far but this is a starting point: https://science20study.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/screen-shot-2012-05-29-at-08-38-40.png

The research cycle description could be the meta topic in which we describe how the research process works. A consistent, visual representation could be used in as introductory graphic in all other topics to highlight were this topic is located inside of the cycle. The visualization of cycle itself could be black and white and the highlight a yellow box overlaying the point in the cycle.

Draft overview that we design at Xpansa of the actors and processes in the life sciences, specifically for drugs discovery goals.

What if similar structure would be used? So that actors, processes and data need to be described. It comes from UML standard
