No feature lasts forever. Many features were outmoded in the v6 releases. Any time we stop using a feature, we should document the reason and any replacements. If a developer finds references to features in the source, but the feature does not have a matching document on the learning site, it should be assumed to be a deprecated feature. Deprecated features should be marked with the version they were know to have been made obsolete, and then listed somewhere in case a user is wondering if the feature is still available. Deprecated features should be removed on a schedule in a future minor releases (6.X).
