Hi everyone, We are running some particle simulations with a constant downward velocity (settling velocity) and modelled horizontal current fields for each depth. The thing is that we see that particles still horizontally move below the maximum depth where velocity data is available. So we were wondering if these horizontal velocity values are by default extrapolated along the water column or if the value of the deepest level at each location is kept for deeper levels (or any other opotion). Thanks in advance!! :) |

Hi,
The value at the lowermost layer is used downwards towards seafloor. I am not sure if this should be called "extrapolation".
If you use loglevel=0, I believe there should be a log-line saying when this happens.
