Sometimes Cost fee is not reported in cart

I have some problem with extention.
If i click Cash on Delivery after clicking other payment method can happen that the Fee is printed to 0 (instead 6€).

If i exit cart and then return to it I have in grand total the Fee without have clicked it.

Why?

I have tested using Magento One Page checkout, danslo/CleanCheckout and Mageplaza One Step Checkout.

I think I've the same problem.
My problem is when I place an order and change the form of payment in the cart.
I select a form of payment that is not Cash on delivery, here everything is correct:

I select payment Cash on delivery, the price of 10€ that this form of payment costs does not come out.

That's not all, back to click on payment Cash on delivery and if you add the 10€ but the price of shipping passes to zero.

Free shipping costs are from 45 €, and in this case does not exceed 45 €.
But that's not all ... there's more.
I select a form of payment that is not Cash on delivery and the price of the shipment remains at zero and the total amount remains whit 10€ more.

I've given a thousand laps to the configuration of magento and the payment modules and I've not found a way to configure it correctly so that nothing of this happens.

Is it a magento or module error and they aren't reported?

The error is due to the configuration of the shipping method (sorry) and not the Cash on delivery module.

I've noticed that in the field of "Custom Text" when I put html code does not render it in the frontend, is it correct or is it an error?

This also happens in the "Phoenix Bank Prepayment" module

I have used it in conjunction with https://github.com/danslo/CleanCheckout module on a Magento 2.2.2
Settings was:

1. Only for Italy, San Marino, Vatican City
2. Fixed Price 6€
3. Multistore (3 Languages), it, gb, es

It may be. It depends on how the totals are generated/read in the checkout module, maybe it does something differently.

Have you tried disabling the CleanCheckout module?
