Problem
The search bar is placed at top, but it is too far away from the thumb. The search button is the most used button of YouTube, and it has been suggested that most common buttons should be placed at the bottom, because it is easier for out thumbs to reach [as per user experience suggestions by Leonovas, UX movement, and UX planet].
Solution
Keep the search button at the center of the bottom bar. When the user clicks on the bottom search button, it activates the top search bar. When the user begins to type, the top search bar gets populated.
It is similar to how Firefox uses two search bars in the new tab page. When user clicks on the central search bar, the focus shifts to the top search bar.
