( question ) Hunger tooltip of cake

Unlike other foods, only the cake did not display the hunger tooltip.
Is this a bug or intended?

This is because cake can't be eaten directly and has to be placed as a block; it doesn't have the necessary information to display a food tooltip stored on the item itself.
