Hello,

the script shows a cyclical measurement, indeed I found out that the script tries to get a value 5 times per second. But actually the Fronius Symo (I don't know for other types) provides only one new value per second by using it's datamanager. I asked the service from Fronius and they confirmed that only one value per second is given by the datamanager. So this basically doesn't work the way it is intended.

One time per second is rather slow for regulation - I got severe problems with my pellet heating system, which has two electric motors switching on and off all the time. The power to grid goes from minus several hundret to plus several hundret Watt all the time.

Did anyone find a faster way to obtain data from the Fronius Smartmeter? Maybe by direct readby by it's modbus?

No, sorry I have not. But i switched to the New Victron Smartmeter and its updating really fast.
I even remove the fronius smartmeter as I dont need it anymore.
