The website is easy to use, and has a clear layout which is nice!
Some more things to keep:
I like that when my mouse hovers over a button the button changes colors and my mouse changes shapes
I also like the idea of having quizzes so students have a takeaway of something specific to remember from that page/assignment
Some Ideas:
Adding grades to assignments, and making this an option teachers could choose to implement if they wanted
Having a progress bar showing how many classes the user has completed. This can help motivate people to do more work or encourage them to see how much they’ve done
Adding a check to confirm someone wants to log out or leave the page rather than just leaving the page. This way users don’t accidently log out or leave a page and lose their data. Does data only get saved once someone clicks submit or does it automatically save throughout use?
Website design edits:
the class IDs are pretty long, which can make them look intimidating and overwhelming
In the phone view, the home page that has the welcome back Ben menu was at the bottom of the page. It might make more sense to have that at the top of the page. Just so users know it’s there before they see the page’s contents.
Button issues: When I hover over the home button my mouse didn’t change to show me that it was a link/button; which might be confusing for users. Also, the logout button is only clickable in half of the box
When the screen is between full and the smallest size, it creates a large amount of whitespace on the outside. I don’t know how you implemented the two columns but maybe think of making the white space in between “Classes” and “Welcome Back Ben” as a percentage of the screen size rather than just a set number. This way it will change in proportion to the screen rather than just staying fixed.
This is such a cool idea! I'm looking forward to seeing where it ends up!

Some updates: Your website looks pretty good from the student side. Some possible things to work on and implement on the instructor side might be changing access to certain buttons so that only the instructors can see them.
