Game detecting multiple controllers instead of DS4 one

Hey so i had to reinstall windows 10 recently as it decided to break my gpu drivers permenantly
I have been using DS4Win on my pc for most of the game sand they worked just fine, only recently i have found out that games like the black box NFS series and beamng drive had some serious issues with the controller
For NFS games i assumed that because they are old games, they had botched controller support
only on Beamng i noticed that if i pressed an input id get either generic controller input or xbox 360 input
i checked the settings and i noticed that the game had 2 controllers connected (pic below or above)
Notice that when i press the X button, the A button and the button_1 react

How do i fix the issue? I have Hide DS4 controller option on

You mentioned having "Hide DS4 Controller" on, but is it actually working? You should see a Check under the Ex column for that controller:

Another solution would be to use HidHide instead (or in combination with) hiding the ds4. You'll have to set up Hidhide and it'll require a reboot to finish setting up things, but it works a lot better than just hiding the controller.

Yep. That's definitely not working. It won't refresh on it's own, so you can try just turning the option off and back on again. Keep in mind, that if something else is trying to get access to the controller, then D4W will NOT be able to get it. You'll have to close out of any apps that are trying to use the controller first. Here's some help about it, including some apps that are known to break Ex-Mode.

Another option (The one that I use) is to set up HidHide first. It lets you tell your computer to not let ANY apps use the physical DS4 controller. Then, just tell HidHide to let DS4Windows have access to it. You should then be able to use Ex-Mode easily, now that most other apps are blocked. Ok so it took me a hot minute to figure out what caused it to not enable the EX mode, and it was both Steam and Parsec starting up.
I have now fixed the issue. Thanks for the help!
