If it's not finding your controller, you've set it up wrong. Just saying "it's borked, fix it." is not going to get you anywhere. We need a bit more info to help you.
Do you have hidhide installed?
What do you mean you need a cable? Does D4W find the controller when it's plugged in, or just the games find it?
Is it a Genuine Sony controller, or a copy/fake one?
What does it say under devices or in the controller options.
Press "Win+R" and type "devman" to bring up the Device manager. You might see a "HID Compliant game controller"
Press "Win+R" and type "joy.cpl" to bring up the controller options.
Does it show up in the HTML5 Gamepad Tester?
What do the logs say in d4w after you plug the controller in?
What's the last version that worked for you?

And to be real i really dont remember the last version i used its been in my pc for a few months now.
When i open d4w up it say’s (using shared mode) when i plugg in my scuff with the cable it say’s (controller 1 is using profile “scuff” )
When i press (joy.cpl) What is see is
Wireless controller (status) OK
And this on only when i got it plugged in with the cable without the cable nothing shows up.
And in devman i dont see it unless its plugged thats its working with usb and also on the test pad only shows up when its on the cable.

When I make the ds4 recognize the controller as xbox 360, the right analog is drifting, and when I turn it off, the analog returns to normal, what could be the problem? this in games like Fortnite makes it a little difficult |

This update has pretty much broke DS4Windows as whole for some reason, DS4W was working fine for me using a Dualshock 4 Wireless controller via Bluetooth and I was getting a steady 0.5-1ms input delay but ever since updating to 3.1.4 I get really high input delay (7-30ms) even with BT Poll Rate set to Max and every other version I try via a delete and reinstall I can never get the latency back to what it was. I can "fix" it for a little while by reinstalling certain versions but after disconnecting and reconnecting the controller again or after a reboot I am back to high input delay. |
