Unfortunately the wide spread library dgrijalva/jwt-go is no longer maintained as the repository owner is inactive (dgrijalva/jwt-go#457).

It looks like the most favourable replacement is the https://github.com/lestrrat-go/jwx library, which besides of jwt also supports some other jw* implementations.
