Description
Opening submenus under the Settings app takes around one second for them to be displayed and the UI feels generally slow but very smooth (that is, it takes time to load things but keeps a solid 60+ FPS basically everywhere).
Compared to the tama port though, these differences are fairly noticeable, especially on the lock screen where kumano takes a disappointing 4 seconds to unlock.
To rule out any OS version issue, according to seine/lena users this issue is not present on their devices.
Below you can see the difference in unlock times between akatsuki (left) and bahamut (right). Both are running 4.5.0.24 on top of Android 11 base and 4.14.314.
There are some libraries appearing as missing on kumano:
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "libutils.so" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "libcutils.so" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "libhardware.so" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "[email protected]" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "[email protected]" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "[email protected]" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "libc++.so" not found
Dez 09 13:51:10 Xperia5 lipstick[3051]: library "libion.so" not found
Checking in /system and the droid-hybris folder shows that these libraries are actually present; this output does not appear on tama.

I have only looked briefly into the bug but the library not found
messages are harmless they come from libhybris.
They are present on all ports in one way or the other.
The hwcomposer module message comes from the hybris side, they are also
present on AOSP.
I will try to verify the bug on my internal builds.

Additional context
Two likely irrelevant things:
Tama shows this at startup, but kumano does not:
