Friendly name. Max length for display reasons

Add max character length for if we want to display friendly name. Alternatively ask user to supply alternative name. Font size? Alternative name (app name?)

there is also the option to animate the string (probably more complex than the above) or to do an elipsis (basically cut the string in a meaningful way and the 3 dots '...')

Just personal preference:
1- we might have difference sized devices in the future, so what works for one must not work for another (and vice versa).
2- giving power and limitation to the user where it's easier for them to use that power or work around those limitation. (I'd guess here the web interface is a best point to control this)
